Quran also known as Quran Majeed. Its the last holy book from the four holy books ever revealed. It was revealed to Prophet Muhammad in the month of Ramadan . Its the central religious text of Islam and its written in Arabic.

Prophet Muhammad was in cave of Hira when Jibreel came in the cave with the very first verses of Quran. Standing next to Prophet Muhammed, Jibreel screamed "Read! Read!". Jibreel learned that Prophet Muhammed didn't know how to read. Then Jibreel calmed down and taught the Prophet how to read, then he taught him The Quran. After that, the Prophet Muhammad went to his wife. Bibi Khadija and they both started spreading Islam together.
